About This Project
On this Seattle upper deck, the old wood boards had weathered gray and worn through in patches. We stripped them and hauled them away, checked the frame while the deck was open, and kept it. New composite boards went down on hidden fasteners, with a divider board breaking up the long run. When the structure underneath is sound, the deck does not have to be rebuilt to get a new surface.
